Natural Light Wedding Photography

As a wedding photographer myself I choose to shoot using only natural light, of course there are execptions to this rule, sometimes one is forced to use flash as a result of having to shoot in near darkness, at other times I may wish to use flash for a creative or visual effect I am after. On the whole though I very rarely use flash and that’s the way I like it. Personally, I feel there are to many wedding photographers who over use flash and as a result their photographs look unatural and flat. When a couple has gone to huge expense to organise a special venue which in turn puts money and time into lighting and creating a perfect ambience it would be a travesty to not capture such ambience in the wedding photographs. Unfortuanately through the over use of flash many wedding photographers fail to capture the ambience and real feel of a wedding when learning how to use natural light would have done so.

Looking at Pentax Lens

A 50mm Pentax lens would be considered normal for a film camera. However, due to the crop factor, this lens will function as a good portrait lens on a Pentax digital body. It will give the equivalent focal length of 75mm when used with a cropped sensor body. The Pentax SMC P-DA 40mm f/2.8 Limited lens is designed to be used specifically with Digital SLR cameras. You can also use the Sigma 1.4X teleconverter for Pentax lenses. If you are looking for the best price online, you can do so by searching it. The teleconverter will increase magnification by 1.4X. Therefore, a 300mm lens will function like a 420mm lens. This lens will give out reasonably good quality with like some other lenses out there notably the 300mm f/2.8 lens. Pentax also offers a macro lens that goes down to 1:1 magnification ratio. This can be used to take a frame-filling photo of something in the dimensions of the APS-C sized sensor on a Pentax Digital body.

Photo to Painting What a Lovely Way to Preserve a Photograph

Photo albums are great, we have lots of them and they are all very full of photos of every description. We have put some into a digital photo frame and enjoy seeing the slide show of them when we are at home. But the best photo I ever took was made into a portrait. Turning a photo to painting is a great way of turning the best shot into a fabulous oil painting which you can hang on your wall. I ordered mine from a company called Mozart Art Studios Limited by sending them an email of this photograph. Well I was most pleased to receive my oil painting a week later and it is superb. The photo was of our cottage in Wales in the spring time and the painting has really captured the ambience of that special time of year. The artists who painted it have captured every single detail including the wonderful honeysuckle that grows over the arch at the entrance to the garden.
